Free Seminars Set for 2003: Menopause, Men’s Health, and
Osteoporosis
Free seminars at College Pharmacy, 3505 Austin Bluffs Parkway,
will speak to menopause, men’s health, and osteoporosis. Menopause
seminars set for August 28, October 2, and November 18; Men’s Health will be
on September 11 and October 21; and Osteoporosis is scheduled for September 23.
All seminars are held on location and begin promptly at 7:00 p.m.
Sign up early for each seminar, as space is limited. There
will be a free raffle drawing at each seminar. Early attendees for the
osteoporosis seminar on September 23 will receive a free bone density screening
provided by Penrad Imaging. Bone density screenings are recommended for
adults over 35, especially women. The rate of bone loss increases during
menopause, when estrogen levels fall. You may not even know you have
osteoporosis until you have serious signs, such as a broken wrist or hip, low
back pain or a hunched back, all of which can occur after a great deal of bone
calcium has been lost.

custom, individualized therapy.
