Hispanic Chamber Takes Networking Event To Newest Local Community

The Hispanic Chamber of Commerce featured a successful monthly Enlace Latino after hours networking event at a Today’s Homes model home in Silver Hawk on June 9th. The event had over 60 attendees that evening, who enjoyed hors d’oeuvres and beverages from the host, Today’s Homes. Attendees ranged from real estate agents and local business owners to US Army recruiters and Chamber board members.

The Chamber provides a venue for business people together to network monthly via the Enlace Latino. This month’s location was a fully-decorated Today’s Homes model home in the new Silver Hawk community, just west of Powers on Hancock. Silver Hawk is a budding community with homes under construction starting in the $140,000s. “Monthly payments in this community can be under $1,000”, said Victoria Stone, Marketing Director for Today’s Homes. “Most renters are paying this amount and not receiving all the benefits of homeownership.”

This model home, The Windsor, is 1,333 square feet and was packed with people on Thursday night. Attendees took tours of the home and received free gifts for attending.

“We want the local community to know that they probably can afford a home and just don’t know it, “ said Ray Juvera, Hispanic Community Liaison with Today’s Homes. “We are here to introduce you to homeownership and help you every step of the way.”

Mortgage professionals from Capital Access Mortgage were on hand to answer lending questions as well as provide free pre-qualifications that evening.

Guests included Peter Marky, president of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and business owner of Trinity Communications, Bruce Botterbusch, president of Today’s Homes, Terry Zarsky with Pikes Peak Library District, SFC Luis Galicia with the US Army Recruiting Station, Patricia Rodriguez with Hacienda Realty and Mariano Nandin Jr with Astrozon Laundry.
