Celebrating 30 Years of Magic!
There are many reasons to return to the Colorado Renaissance Festival again
and again as no two Festival days are ever alike, for we offer wondrous themes
for each of our festive weekends.
OPENING WEEKEND ”30 Years of Magic” June 10 & 11
The theme for our 30th Anniversary celebration will be “30 Years of Magic! ”To
celebrate the Festival will combine a successful blend of lively entertainment,
food fit for a King, unique crafts and fun for the entire family along with
exclusive guest performances by past entertainers. Plus back by popular demand…
Arsene of Paris “Recognized as one of the Greatest Performers in the World”.
Performances include The White House, Disney World and Las Vegas.
ROYAL ALE FESTIVAL! June 17 & 18
A variety of ale, stout, and lager beer will be on tap for Free Sampling at the
Dancing Bear Pub.. Join us at the “Ode to Ale” toasting contest, as well as, the
“Best Man in Tights” contest. Attend the 6th Annual Wenches Guild “Wooing
Contest“ this weekend on the Rose Stage. Play Catch the Captain “Captain Morgan
that is” join him for Prizes and Fun.
LOVE and ROMANCE! June 24 & 25
Join our romantic rogues and fair maidens, as we create a special atmosphere for
a weekend dedicated to lovers. Attend “Forever Real” Royal wedding ceremonies on
the Rose stage both Saturday and Sunday. “Renewal of Vows”. Bring your cherished
one to a special gathering and renew your vows of faith, commitment, and love on
this most romantic of weekends. ROMANCE?IS?IN?THE?AIR! Singles Day: Meet the
love of your life. Leave your message on the Singles Message Board. Singles
Party 5:00pm at the Pirates Pub.
CHILDREN’S WEEKEND! July 1 & 2
Special activities where children are acknowledged by our Royal Family. Children
can participate in the Royal Quest and be rewarded by King Henry at the
Knighting Ceremonies, daily at the Rose Stage. Enjoy the Free Children’s Realm
and Petting Zoo. FOR THIS WEEKEND ONLY, CHILDREN TWELVE AND UNDER EXPERIENCE THE
FESTIVAL FOR FREE WITH A PAYING ADULT. HUZZAH !!!
WINE GALA! July 8 & 9
“Good wine is familiar creature if it be used well”.(Othello by William
Shakespeare) For this weekend dedicated to “The Nectar of the Gods” we intend to
use it very well indeed. Participate in the legendary Grape Stomp competitions
for prizes, as well as special Free Sampling of some of the finest vintages.
Participate in the 2nd Annual Grape Toss competition.
INTERNATIONAL CARNIVALE! July 15 & 16
Enjoy the wonders of sight, sound and taste in this our “International
Weekend”... Satisfy your appetite for Food and Fun by competing in our 4th
Annual Spaghetti Eating Contest. Participate in the Garlic cooking
demonstration. Entertainers delight with Music and Song from around the world.
Nobility Fashion Show; Ladies from the Court model their magnificent costumes.
Join in the fun of our 4th Annual Fiddler Contest.
SCOTTISH & IRISH FESTIVAL! July 22 & 23
Come join us in a Celebration of Music, Dance and Athletic Competition. Madrigal
Singers, along with special Dance Groups, Musicians and Pipe Bands will be
featured throughout the Realm this weekend. Don Ye Kilts for the “Men in Kilts”
contest. Lads and lassies attend the Rocky Mountain Scottish Highland games.
FARE THEE WELL! July 29 & 30
A Final Huzzah… We invite one and all to join King Henry for his 515th Birthday
Party. It’s a weekend filled with, frivolities, and frolicking that is truly fit
for the King. Bid farewell, good cheer, and happy travels to all of your
Festival favorites, the Musicians Most Merry, the Entertainers Most Marvelous,
and the Craft Artisans Most Wondrous! It will be a Festive conclusion to this
our 30th Anniversary Season!
