Firefighter Exam for Multiple Departments
One test can make you eligible for employment with 14 fire districts/
departments in metro Denver. Administered by the Denver Regional Council of
Governments, the Firefighter Intraregional Recruitment & Employment (FIRE)
program is a cooperative screening & testing program for entry-level firefighter
candidates. The area covered by these jurisdictions includes about 2,450 square
miles from Larkspur in the south to Mountain View Fire District in the north,
which extends as far north as Mead. EMT/Paramedic certifications are a plus.
